Women's hormones & blood glucose

Hi, I haven't found an app or feature within the CGM apps that lets me customize specific to my cycle, has anyone else? For example, I become more insulin resistant right before my period, and it feels like it catches me off guard every month. Are people creating profiles for different parts of their cycle or just manually adjusting? How are other people doing this right now?

  1. Hi . Those would be some great strategies for managing your blood sugar in a different way. I haven't heard of an app that does this, but I don't use a CGM. I hope you get some input from others in the community. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. Hello Totally relate to this. I don’t think most CGM apps handle cycle specific adjustments yet. A lot of people track their cycle in a separate app like Clue or Flo and then manually adjust insulin or create different profiles when they know that insulin resistance week is coming. I’ve also heard of some people keeping notes in their CGM app so they can spot the pattern month to month. Hopefully more diabetes apps start integrating cycle tracking soon because it would be super helpful.
