A1C dropping

Hi folks
Ok so I have done absolutely nothing to change things, however, I have had several lows and readings under 170(9 Canada's).
While this is awesome, I do not understand why. I have to constantly be adjusting my insulin and have had several lows. I don't see my endo until May.
I am encouraged but frustrated.
Only thing I can think of is menopause in nearer???

  1. Hi . Have you reached out to your doctor about your concerns? I worry about the fact that you are experiencing so many lows. Your doctor might want to make some changes in your medication.
There are so many factors that can impact blood sugar levels, including amount of sleep, stress levels and, as you noted, menopause. It is possible hormonal changes have something to so with your new blood suagar readings. Here is an article from the Mayo Clinic about the impact of menopause of type 2 diabetes: https://newsnetwork.mayoclinic.org/discussion/consumer-health-diabetes-and-menopause/.
May is a long ways away. I would message your doctor and explain the situation. Maybe your doctor can get you in sooner. Keep us posted if you don't mind. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
