Very high a1c
I had a very high A1c for the first time , dr wants me to diet and exercise which I am doing , in about a month I have not had a high over 120 , can what I am doing working ? Or is a high A1c for the first time mean diabetes ?

. No need to panic. Certain viral illnesses, health conditions and medications can cause a one-time spike in your A1C. It sounds like you are doing all the right things. If you can keep your blood sugar low over the next two months, your A1C should be lower after the next test. Hopefully, others will chime in here and share their experiences.
