When to go to hospital

My levels are 385 up from 338 yesterday high. It went down at one point yesterday to 280 after insulin injection but today up to 385. Can I take a double dose in hopes of bringing it down.

  1. Hi Domidare. Thanks you for your question. We are not doctors so cannot advise you in changes to your insulin. That requires a physician or nurse practitioner. You should never make changes to insulin dosing without your HCP. Please call them today and get some direction. Let me know how it goes. Shelley, community moderator 🇨🇦

    1. If you have diabetes, it is important to know when to go to the hospital. If you have any of the following symptoms, you should go to the hospital right away: chest pain, shortness of breath, vomiting, dizziness, fainting, or changes in vision. These could be signs of a heart attack, stroke, or another serious problem.
