"What Overpatches Are You Using for Your CGM—and Do They Actually Stay On?"

"I’ve been experimenting with different overpatches for my Dexcom/Libre lately. Between workouts, showers, and just day-to-day life, I’ve had patches fall off way too soon. I’ve been using NJaP recently and it’s been the most reliable so far—plus it’s gentle on my skin (which is super sensitive). Curious what others are using and what’s worked best for you? Let’s help each other find the ones that actually stick and don’t cause irritation!"over patch for sensor

  1. What a great forum post, . I hope you get lots of input from other members. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

    1. I’ve had the same problem, and NJAP (Not Just A Patch) has worked best for me too, sticks through workouts and showers but is still gentle on sensitive skin. Some people also like Skin Tac, but for me NJAP has been the most reliable. Curious to see what others recommend!

      1. Thanks for sharing what helps. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

    2. My dexcom 7 works fine I do water arobics 3 days a week with no problem they send an extra sticky to add to the patch.

      1. Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that you have this option of adding 'extra sticky' to the patch. All the best, Lauren (team member)

    3. I was using funpatch, ordered from Amazon. Freestyle Libre3 sensor. I have stopped using the patch and also removed the sensor. After only 3 or 4 sensors and patches, which would lose their adhesive after several days, plus skin tac for added staying power, the last patch caused severe irritation and even blisters around the edge. I have never had a reaction to bandages before. My skin may be too sensitive. Even under the sensor itself which I removed a few days later, my skin was swollen. Perhaps the cgm is not for me.

      1. Hi there, thanks for sharing openly. I'm sorry to learn that you haven't had much success with the patches related to skin irritation and limited adhesive time. Did you reach out to your doctor? I wonder if they would be able to help you come across a product that may work better for you? Did you feel like the CGM was providing you information to help you better control your blood sugars? -Lauren (Team member)
