Type 2 diabetes

I've been doing a LOT or research and I'm seriously starting to believe T2D is about 90% BS . Anyone else feel this way

  1. I get why it can feel confusing with all the info out there, but T2D is definitely real. There’s a lot of mixed messaging online, so it’s easy to feel skeptical. Sticking with info from your doctor or other trusted sources usually helps get the full picture.

  2. Hi . Like , I can understand your skepticism. There are lots of articles out there that confuse controlling type 2 diabetes with dietary and lifestyle changes with curing it.
Many people can successfully lower their A1Cs with minimal changes in lifestyle and diet, especially those who had poor eating/exercise habits or little nutritional knowledge to begin with. However, they usually find their A1Cs increase again if they revert to old eating habits, exercise less or gain weight. Some return to diabetic levels even while maintainin those changes simply because their type 2 diabetes has progressed.
Type 2 diabetes is a progressive disease, but it is possible to stay off medication if your progression is slow and your make the necessary changes. I hope you are one of those people who never need it. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

  3. I get why you’d feel frustrated, there’s so much conflicting info out there and it can get overwhelming. For a lot of people though, Type 2 is very real in terms of what they deal with day to day.

Sometimes it helps to look at real experiences alongside research, since everyone’s situation is a bit different. What kind of info have you been seeing that made you feel this way?
