My AC1 levels

I’ve been struggling with keeping my numbers low, but no matter what I’ve done in the past 20+ years I did have it under control back in 2015, but then I started to care for her in Puerto Rico & she passed away a year later and ever since 2016 my levels are all over the place. I returned home & my Dr. Went through my medical files & detected my AC1 levels had increased during the time of her sudden death. I’ve tried different meds and injections only to suffer really bad side effects & I’m tired of pumping chemicals into my body since it doesn’t work & the symptoms & side effects are so awful 😞

      1. Hi . I can see how the stress of caring for your mother and then losing her would throw off your blood sugar levels. I am so very sorry for your loss. It's been more than a year since you posted this so I wanted to check back and see whether you found a better treatment plan. Did your doctor ever refer you to a dietician who specializes in diabetes? If not, that might be a good place to start in reducing your dependence on medications. There are so many medications out there for diabetes. I hope you have found one that is effective for you with minimal side effects. Warmest of wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
