Share your morning routine

What's your morning routine that starts your day off on a positive note when managing type 2 diabetes? Share in the thread below!

  1. Check blood sugar, drink water and have a cup of coffee. Then think about waking up-I am not a morning person.

    1. I hear you, . I need that cup of coffee first thing as well. Do you have a coffee maker in your room or do you have to go to the kitchen to grab a cup? My husband usually sets the timer at night and gets my cup ready in the morning with milk and a bit of Splenda, so I only have to pour the coffee in it. He gets lots of points for that! 😀 - Lori (Team Member)

  2. For me, a calm and consistent start really sets the tone. I like to check in with my numbers, drink some water, and ease into the day instead of rushing. A short walk or a bit of movement helps, even if it is just a few minutes.

Breakfast is usually something simple that I know works for me, and I try to keep it consistent so there are fewer surprises. Taking a moment to plan the day ahead also helps me feel more in control.

It is not about being perfect, just finding a rhythm that works. What has been helping your mornings feel smoother lately?

    1. I love your morning routine! For me the day usually goes as it starts. If that's the case for you, too, this routine might make the day go smoothly. Thank you for sharing. All the best, Kathy (Team member)
