If you use a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) there are warnings that Vitamin C will mess up the calibration. I cannot find any glucose tablets without Vitamin C flavors, i.e. flavorless.
This is very interesting. I found this in a document on the FDA website about one brand of CGM, "Taking ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) supplements while wearing the Sensor may falsely raise Sensor glucose readings. Inaccurate sensor readings due to ascorbic acid interfernce may be clinically significant and result in harm if relied on to make treatment decisions. Taking more than 500 mg of ascorbic acid per day may affect the Sensor readings which could cause you to miss a severe low glucose event." It certainly is something to follow up on with your doctor if you rely on a CGM. Thanks for sharing this warning. All the best, Kathy (Team member)

, I have found references it Vitamin C effects other brands but not all. I have never found any refences that names the brands. I use FreeStyle Libre 3 which is affected. They give the 500 mg warning every time you change the sensor. Maybe others could post if they use a different brand with a similar warning.
