Thanksgiving strategy

Do you have a strategy for eating healthy on Thanksgiving Day and in the leftover-laden days that follow? My plan is to stay away from the mashed potatoes, the stuffing, the gravy and any sugar-sweetened or cream-heavy veggies. I'm making roasted veggies, which I love, especially with turkey. If I really want dessert, I'll eat the pumpkin pie filling and leave the crust. For leftovers, I'm counting on my 6-foot-5 twins, who are home from college to devour them for me. What's your approach?

  1. I think my approach this year since the world is in such chaos is to have tiny tastes of everything. I don't think one meal will totally derail me and for my mental health I don't want to feel left out.

    1. What a great plan, Mary. I wish I had the will power for tiny tastes. That's a great way to enjoy everything while still keeping blood sugar levels under control. Thanks for joining the conversation. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! - Lori (Team Member)
