  1. My diabetes education classes have ended, what now?

    1. Hello , This was also a question that I asked myself years ago. The class was over and out the door I went. If you feel you need more help, there are organizations that offer diabetes management classes 24/7 for free. Your health care provider should know about these. Since the classes are over, pay attention to your diet, controlling your weight, monitor your blood sugar and taking your medication. I would also suggest staying in a community like https://type2diabetes.com for support. Diane (Team Member)

  2. I'm a newly diagnosed diabetic. What is the easiest way to get my sugar under control?

    1. cut out all white foods. Add cinnamon and apple cider vinegar to your diet
Eat 2Good or Ratio brands if you like yogurt.

    2. Hello , I am a very big believer in working closely with my health care provider. When I first got diagnosed, I was young and not really concerned. But after a few bouts of dizzy spells and uncontrollable thirst I had to take my health seriously. My doctor told me to eat a healthy diet with fruit and vegetables. I had to maintain a healthy weight and daily exercise. Other things to do are to keep track of your blood sugar levels to see what makes them go up or down. Eat at regular times, and don't skip meals. We are here if you need us. Diane (Team Member)

  3. Can I have maple syrup

    1. Hello , This is a great question. I loved pancakes. I brought this up to my doctor years ago and he told me that pure maple syrup or sugar-free syrup has a lower glycemic index. So, it's better for us than regular pancake syrup. I would talk to my doctor because it can raise your sugar. For me personally, maple syrup can be used to replace other sugars that a person with diabetes adds to food. I hope this helps you some. Diane (Team Member)
