Conflict Between Your Doctors

On one of my doctor visits, I was told that my potassium was very low and I need to work on getting it back up.

I was just diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and this doctor was happy with my numbers.

Has anyone ever experienced this where the doctors were giving you conflicting information? I don't know if I should get a 2nd opinion or what.

What are your thoughts on this?

  1. My doctors gave me conflicting information. I talked to a nurse and she said that there could be more than one cause that could result in symptoms like mind. It's not that the doctor gave me the wrong information. She also told me to ask myself why I was more inclined to believe one over the other. I thought this was an interesting question. Was I weighing more on test results and facts or was it a feeling? I could get a 3rd opinion, but for me, that's taking it a little too far. If it was a life-threatening illness, that would be a different story. What would you do in this situation? Diane (Team Member)
