Does any insurance cover Ozempic

I am 66 years old and have uncontrolled type 2. My last A1C was 11.9 and I am terrified. I have had 4 back surgeries so exercise is limited. I have Burning Mouth Disease so I am very limited on what I can taste, mainly sugar and salt. So what do I really enjoy eating? SUGAR! I'm not making all this up. My doctor gave me enough Ozempic for 3 months on the lowest dose. My insurance does not cover it. Any ideas??

  1. , thank you for your question. Burning mouth disease in addition to your diabetes must make it difficult to make food decisions. Have you tried sugar alternatives, such as monk fruit (https://type2diabetes.com/nutrition/monk-fruit)? Also, have you looked into manufacturer coupons to see if Ozempic may be affordable? Here is some more information: https://type2diabetes.com/living/financial-issues & https://type2diabetes.com/resources-cost. I hope others will chime in as well and share their insights as well.
