How Do Heat And Humidity Affect Your Diabetes?

Baby, it's hot outside!!!

I have been drinking lots of water these days so as not to become dehydrated. If you are out in the heat you can become dehydrated. I would look out for excessive thirst, and dizziness and check your blood pressure.

What tips can you give to someone who has to be out in this heat and dealing with an illness? It is 100 degrees today. Diane (Team Member)

  1. I have to monitor my time outside. Considering I shoot professional sports, working outside can be brutal. I just make sure I keep water and snacks on my because the sun doesnt care if it triggers a low or high. B. Keith Crear III (Team Member)

    1. , it has been really hot these days. I don't spend too much time outside either. My doctor told me that I could become dehydrated more quickly in hot weather, which could lead to high blood sugar levels. So, I make sure to drink lots of water too.

I see you started in SB Nation/Canal Street Chronicles. My husband and I will be in New Orleans tomorrow. This is his hometown. We live in Maryland. Who Dat!!! Diane (Team Member)
