Does type 2 diabetes run in your family?

Do you have other family members who also live with type 2 diabetes or are you the only one? If you do, do they have similar experiences with managing diabetes, or are their experiences much different from yours? Also, have you found this helpful or hurtful in your own diabetes management?

  1. my birth father was diagnosed in this late 50's with Type 2. My cousin has it as well. It's been a concern but each of us are different and the way we manage our condition will determine how we experience diabetes. I do my best to maintain decent health but I am not perfect. My dad and cousin well they aren't as on top of things as they should be.

    1. Thanks for commenting and sharing. It's true everyone is different and the way we take care of ourselves, or not, can also certainly play a role. Appreciate you being part of our community. Best, Kelly, Community Moderator
