I’m taking 40 units of Semglee in the morning and about 50 units of Novolog throughout the day.
Hey there , so sorry to hear that you've been having trouble getting your blood sugar down. What are some of the things you've tried already? We have lots of articles about lowering BS, like this one here: https://type2diabetes.com/living/how-lower-a1c and this article about lowering post-meal BS: https://type2diabetes.com/living/tips-for-improving-post-meal-blood-sugars. If you're able to provide us more context about what has/hasn't worked for you in the past, we can also do our best to point you in a more individualized direction.

I’m new. I just started taking insulin about 3 months ago. I think I’m going to increase the Semglee for 40 units to 50 units today to see if that doesn’t help over time.

I hope that helps, . Did your doctor ever refer you to a dietician who specializes in diabetes? If not, you might find that helpful as well. Small changes can make a big difference in blood sugar levels. Insurance usually covers dietician visits if you are referred by your doctor. - Lori (Team Member)
