How do you cope with challenges?

With the current situation, what are the 3 most important things you do to cope with stress and sleepless nights?

  1. I do water aerobics 4 times a week. It invigorates me.

    1. Thanks for sharing! So happy to hear that it is helping you feel invigorated. Appreciate you being part of our community. Best, Kelly, Type2diabetes.com Community Moderator

  2. Did somebody here try out having a therapist? Did you have any positive experience?

    1. , great question! I recently signed up for therapy, and it was a very positive experience. I tried the online therapy site/app called Betterhelp. It was definitely more affordable than traditional therapists, but still a bit pricey (worth it though, in my opinion). For the month I was in therapy, I spoke to my therapist on a weekly basis and I definitely saw improvements in my mood and my self-talk. I would recommend that everyone tries it at some point in their lives. 😀 I hope this helps! -Ashlen, Type2diabetes.com community moderator

  3. Up!! Up!!! Up !!!

When it comes to coping with stress and sleepless nights, my top 3 strategies are: 1) Breaking challenges down into small, manageable steps - I focus on what I can control right now, not the overwhelming big picture. 2) Maintaining a consistent exercise routine, which helps clear my mind and release tension. 3) Practicing mindfulness and deep breathing techniques to stay grounded and calm, especially during challenging moments. These approaches have helped me navigate stress more effectively and maintain a sense of balance.

    1. That all makes so much sense, . Thanks for joining the conversation. Warm wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
