Can You Reverse Your Diabetes?

I have had type 2 diabetes for 30 years. I lost 60 pounds and made a lot of diet changes. I was able to get off of medication for 6 months, but numbers have started to get worse.

Have you been able to get off of medication and stay off of it?

  1. Yes, some people with type 2 diabetes have been able to get off medication and stay off it long-term, but it depends on several factors, including how long they’ve had diabetes, how much beta-cell function remains in the pancreas, and how well lifestyle changes are maintained over time.
