Type 2 Diabetes

I recently was approved for the Libre 3 CGM and I was truly impressed with the results. Just recently I was disapproved for the same monitor due to not having Type 1 Diabetes. I discovered the medical system isn’t truly in place to help you to keep going from Type 2 to Type I. I say this because why deny anyone a reliable source which assists them. I have now realized the foods I eat daily is when my glucose spikes daily. I am now controlling everything I eat and I wish everyone with diabetes could be approved for this excellent resource.

  1. Hi . I am sure insurance companies would save a lot of money if they convered continuous glocuse monitors for everyone who is diabetic. It just makes sense. I am glad you were able to get one and I hope you see big improvements in your A1C. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. I am very thankful for the fact that my insurance helped pay for both Dexcom6 and Libre3. wearing a CGM has totally changed my diabetes management.

      1. Hello , This is good to hear. My husband and I both had T2D, he takes insulin I don't. He got approved I got denied. I don't understand our system at all. Thanks for sharing and I hope you continue success on this journey. What lifestyle changes have you made if any? Diane (Team Member)

      2. Hello , I agree also. Our healthcare system is very difficult at times. I have T2D, but couldn't get one under Medicare, but my husband could. I don't get it. Thanks for sharing. What do you do to manage your T2D? Diane (Team Member)
