Trulicity withdrawal

So I was prescribed .75 trulicity. I was on it two months and then my insurance decied not to pay for it. So I stopped taking it cold turkey. The next week was hell week my BS was extreme highs and lows hard to manage.
While I was on it I was stable consistently 130 ish. Felt great. Wonder if anyone else had these effects.
Thanks
Kris

    1. It actually worked well my A1C went from 11 down to 8 if I could have just stayed on it the starting and stopping was were my body had a problem with it. I just got off the phone with the pharmacy they're trying to get it for me in an affordable rate because I have the worst Insurance $8,000 deductible and the cheapest I can get it is $744 a month. I read that to post about trulicity and I mean everybody's different something works for somebody might not work for anorher. For instance I can't take Metformin bad allergic reaction. I was just curious with the the starting and stopping without tapering off if anybody else went through that.
      Thanks

      1. , that is so frustrating. I hope people may chime in to share their experiences. Did your pharmacist have any helpful info on if they heard others experiencing something similar? I hope they may be able to work something out... that is super expensive. I know some people have been able to get manufacturer's coupons or some companies have patient assistance programs. These may be helpful: https://type2diabetes.com/resources-cost & https://type2diabetes.com/living/assistance-programs (though this article is a little dated). Best, Minel (Team member)

    2. thank you for sharing that. My doctor wanted to put me on it but I don't have insurance. They wanted me to try and see if the company offered the coupon but if they do once that expires that could cause me more problems then it's worth in the end. ~Erica, community moderator ~
