Matcha tea powder

I’m wondering if anyone has added matcha tea powder into their diet? I’ve read that it can help regulate sugars as well as other benefits. I’m thinking about adding it to my morning oatmeal.

  1. I am not familiar with matcha tea. My go to is cinnamon. I use it in my coffee, in oatmeal and anything else that sounds like it would be good. Cinnamon is a good source to help lower blood sugar.

    1. Not sure, but I know matcha is very sweet

      1. I never could get into any of the green teas. I do like White tea and herbal teas myself but that's just for personal preferences. Not to do with diabetes. I just happned to read about teas in the link and read the article. This is first time I've heard of that one. Have you tried it yet and then do a bg to see how it's being affected by it?

I use splenda and cinnamon in my oatmeal as well. But I do love my herbal teas at night but I do add a bit of honey to them as well. 😉

        1. I’ve been putting it in my oatmeal. I have vanilla matcha powder. It’s not overwhelming in taste. I haven’t noticed anything negative with my bs numbers but I know that matcha has tons of antioxidants so I figure it doesn’t hurt.
