How do I lower my ac1

No matter how careful I am I can't seem to lower ac1

  1. , that is very frustrating. What have you currently been doing to manage your diabetes? It can be trial and error for someone to find out what works for them to lower their A1c and everyone's experiences may differ. Do you have access to a diabetes educator? In addition to your doctor they can be a helpful resource. I'm passing along some articles that may be of interest.

    1. how high is your A1C? Some things to consider - what you eat, when you eat and portion size. Here is a food guide to get you started on what to eat and portion size. When to eat - try to eat your last meal 3 hours before bedtime. That way your body has time to digest the food.

      1. East, avoid carbohydrates. A1c is a measure of how much sugar (glucose) sticks to your hemoglobin blood. The more you avoid carbs, the less amount of sugar in your body to stick to blood, the lower your a1c. This leads to reversing diabetes as well as reversing many other common illness of high a1c (obesity, fatty liver, PCOS, CVD, etc).
