Help with a relapse...

I’ve had type 2 for ~5 years and have ebbed and flowed between good and bad habits. I’m coming off of a stretch of a few months of bad behavior.

Now, this week I have been limiting my net carbs again and regularly (multiple times a day) checking my sugars. It has been 3 days and I’m not seeing improvements yet. I am on long-lasting metformin. Am I expecting to bounce back too quickly or is it possible my metformin is not effective anymore? Thanks in advance.

  1. Hi , thanks for your question! I hope others are able to chime in with their experiences as well. Please don't be discouraged, you're doing great testing and limiting your carbs! It's a marathon, not a sprint.

    However, you know your body the best and we're non-clinical, unable to give medical advice for your safety. If it would give you more comfort to bring up the lack of results to your doctor now, feel free to mention this to them now and not wait. Either way, please keep us updated on how everything goes.
