HBA1C

I was diagnosed in March. Anyway my HBA1C result never made it to my DR so I have had another one last week after i have been on metformin for 8 weeks 4 a day it was 10.5% which i was told was bad and i might need to addd to my medication, Other than that I haven,t got a clue.Help

  1. Thank you for sharing and reaching out. It's tough only having one A1c number because you have nothing to compare it to. But, yes, 10.5% is high and indicates that your average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months have been high. I'd encourage you to seek out a Registered Dietitian for more guidance and help with getting you blood sugars in a healthier range.
