Favorite exercise?

What is your favorite thing to do for exercise? Tips for others?

  1. Walking is the best for me since I hurt my back. With walking it can be as fast or slow as you like. You can start slow and stay slow like a casual walk. You can start slow and pick up the pace and slow it back down to finish it off. You can walk on a nice nature trail but also remember to be safe and make sure that you are in a well walked area and pay attention to your surroundings. Walking with a friend is always safer.

    1. agreed walking is the best. It's non-stressful and can be peaceful. B. Keith Crear III ( Team Member)

  2. I swim laps three days a week. I used to walk a lot, but age is making that more difficult (I have 2 new knees and need 1 of them re-replaced). I've been recovering from a small surgery recently and am counting down the days until I get back into the water - next Monday! I also sneak in exercise when I'm cooking, outside doing stuff, or whenever.

    1. Tomorrow will be third day! My old muscles aren't happy that I'm swimming again, but fie on them. I'll be fine next week.

    2. Awesome! Those muscles just need to get used to it again. Enjoy! - Lori (Team Member)

  3. for a person that never exercised, I started by taking brisk walk ,,, I get to listen to music or podcasts and I ended up losing 100 lbs

    1. My goodness 100lbs is a huge deal. You must feel amazing for your achievement! I love listening to podcasts and audiobooks when I walk (it's always and additional incentive). All the best, Lauren (Team Member)

    2. That is absolutely AMAZING-B.Keith Crear III (Team Member)

  4. Walking, swimming, SCUBA diving, water resistance exercises about one hour for each is a good workout. I lost 35 pounds and my Dr. took me off the Metformin and Glipizide, and I just use diet and exercise to control it. I hold my glucose@ 85-100 mg/dL.

    1. That's fantastic! It's always wonderful to read success stories like yours. I hope you are always able to remain medication-free. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
