Diabetes web sites

Hi all... I'm new to diabetes, I hope to learn a lot here.
I'm having trouble finding a website that I.can check if specific foods can be eaten.
Does anyone know a website that I can ask questions like 'Can I eat ... with diabetes ' ?
Thanks

  1. Welcome to our community, Paul! Here's a quick resource that talks about nutritional guidelines and a few websites that can help you: https://type2diabetes.com/diet-nutrition/guidelines

Also, I would strongly recommend asking for a referral to a diabetes educator or a certified dietitian. I personally see one and she has helped me tremendously with helping me with a meal plan that works especially for me and my lifestyle.

Here's a directory for certified diabetes educator programs and dietitians:
    CDE Directory- https://nf01.diabeteseducator.org/eweb/DynamicPage.aspx?Site=aade&WebCode=DEAPFindApprovedProgram

    Dietitian/Nutrition Expert Directory- https://www.eatright.org/find-a-nutrition-expert

We have a ton of recipes and articles on our website as well. You're welcome to reach out to me or any of our team members with any additional questions you have or resources that you need.

    1. Thank... I appreciate the help!

      1. CJ gave you some great links. If you are looking for something super convenient, I have heard good things about the Fooducate app. As far as I know, it is free. I hope this helps. Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
