Learning about Diabetes

I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2016. 6 years of confusion, in and out of hospitals, ER, and admissions. Going from 500 mg of metformin to 1500 mg of metformin and one 5 mg daily of glipizide and 2 injections of insulin (60 units) daily almost dying of ketoacidosis, but I am still here. With 4 other autoimmune diseases, it has been a ride.

I have only just now learned how to control my appetite and portion control. And that just been recent.

I am so glad for all the health forums such as this one because little by little I learn more every day.

Thank you for adding me to your forum and supporting me and all others trying to learn what to do and what not to do. GerriA
