T2D Due to Excessive Drinking

Found out this year I was diagnosed with T2D, I was perplexed. Not in my family. I worked out my whole life. I never ate candy (but did love pasta and rice) ate veggies.

Excessive drinking and diabetes

Then my doctor said do you drink a lot of alcohol and I admitted yes. He said you probably got T2D from excessive drinking where your liver couldn’t handle it and in return, your insulin went out of whack. I’m so angry I did this to myself. Regardless I quit drinking.
