Slow Cooker Meatball Subs

With summer comes busy schedules and time spent outside or on vacation. This slow cooker meatball sub recipe is quick to prepare and simple because you can set it and forget it!

These meatball subs will be a family crowd-pleaser. They are loaded with protein and flavor. If you want to be more carbohydrate-conscious with this meal, try swapping a regular sub roll for a low-carbohydrate wrap or even a piece of whole grain toast. However you prepare these subs, they're delicious, especially served with a green salad.

Makes 7 servings
Serving Size: 4 meatballs, ½ cup sauce, and 1 roll
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 2-4 hours

Ingredients for slow cooker meatball subs

  • 1 bag frozen turkey meatballs
  • 1 jar of pasta sauce with no added sugar
  • 1 sandwich roll

Directions for slow cooker meatball subs

  1. In a slow cooker, add frozen turkey meatballs and sauce. Turn the heat to low.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Cover the pot and simmer for 2 to 4 hours.
  4. Serve on a roll, wrap, or whole-grain toast.
  5. Enjoy!
