Saucy Eggs

Eggs are one of the most versatile foods. They can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The ways to cook them are innumerable! Try this new recipe for any of your meals. Cooking the eggs in tomato sauce gives a nice, soft texture and an amazing flavor!

Makes 2 servings
Servingsize: 2 eggs and approximately 1 cup of sauce

Ingredients for saucy eggs

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • ¼ white onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil

Directions for saucy eggs

  1. Sautee onions in a pan until clear
  2. Add tomato sauce and heat until bubbling slightly
  3. Crack eggs into four corners of pan
  4. Cook over medium-low heat until eggs reach desired consistency
  5. Scoop into bowl with sauce
  6. Add fresh basil on top
