Quinoa Patties

As the world moves towards a more plant-based diet, the protein found in quinoa and peas has been used in many recipes to replace meat. Energy bars, smoothies, even pancake mix often contain quinoa or pea protein, providing a satisfying and healthy alternative to animal-based proteins. This recipe incorporates both and is a great option for lunch or dinner! Try serving these over a salad or even topped with an egg!

Serving size: 5 patties each
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes

Ingredients for quinoa patties

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup frozen peas

Directions for quinoa patties

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook quinoa as directed on the packaging.
  3. Add all ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Using a large tablespoon, scoop onto a baking sheet.
  4. Place in preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Pull pan out and flip patties over, then place pan back into the oven for another 10 minutes.
