Peanut Butter Cherry Bars
I created this recipe after spending a weekend in Traverse City, which is considered by some to be the “Cherry Capital of the World.” This recipe can be enjoyed as a small breakfast or help curb a sweet craving.
Makes 9 servings
Ingredients for peanut butter cherry bars
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ cup dried cherries
Directions for peanut butter cherry bars
- Preheat over to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Grease 9” x 9” baking dish
- Combine all ingredients (except cherries) using an electric mixer
- Fold in cherries with spatula
- Use spatula to evenly spread mixture into bottom of baking dish
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes
- Cool for 20 minutes
- Cut into 9 even bars
- Place bars on cooling rack
- Enjoy!
