Garlic Asparagus

Who said that garlic french fries were the only way to showcase garlic in a tasty side dish?

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus (16 spears)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbs. olive oil

Makes 4 servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
  2. Using a knife, press open garlic clove and mince.
  3. On a cutting board, dice onion.
  4. Mix together minced garlic and olive oil.
  5. Line a baking sheet with tin foil, then add asparagus.
  6. Top asparagus with the olive oil and garlic mixture, add diced onion and salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Place baking sheet into oven and bake for 15-20 min.
