Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients for Asian chicken lettuce wraps

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 2 green onions, chopped for topping if desired
  • Romaine hearts separated, washed and dried

Directions for Asian chicken lettuce wraps

  1. Cook chicken stovetop in olive oil oil, until thoroughly cooked through.
  2. While chicken is cooking, make up sauce of soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil and ginger in a small bowl.
  3. Once the chicken is cooked, put aside.
  4. In the same pan as you cooked the chicken, add garlic, peppers and carrots until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the sauce and stir until incorporated.
  6. Serve warm on top of romaine lettuce. Top with green onions if desired.
