How do you manage diet if you have heart disease with DM?

What is recommended for one is contraindicated for the other.

    Hi meredydd, great question! The good news is that many of dietary change you make to manage diabetes are also good for your heart too! A great example is eating more fresh foods, including more whole grains, fresh fruit, and vegetables. All of these foods tend to be higher in fiber which is good for blood sugar control and heart health!
