Research Opportunity: Health Literacy

There is a new opportunity to participate in a research study about health literacy. Sherene, who is conducting the study, explains more.

My name is Sherene. I am a Nurse and also a Doctoral student at Trevecca University. Currently, I am conducting my research in the area of diabetes and health literacy.

Health literacy and self-care

I am very passionate about health literacy and self-care as it relates to diabetes. Moreover, I am passionate about providers, pamphlets, clinics, and information sessions providing diabetic information to their community that reaches individuals based on their level of health literacy.

With this survey, I hope to gain a better understanding of the target populations that are most in need of this information that will ultimately assist them in preventing any further complications due to type 2 diabetes. Once my dissertation has been completed, you will have the opportunity to access the dissertation as well as the research portions that will be analyzed.

Take the survey

Participation is voluntary and involves a one-time investment of less than 1 hour. All participants will remain anonymous.

Participants must be 18 years or older and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

A chance to win

There will be drawings for ten thank you prizes among all who take the survey. Because the survey does not collect names, I am working under the honor system. Please send me an email (sherene02@gmail.com) letting me know that you completed the survey so that I can put your name in the drawing.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
