Tresiba alternative

I've been using Tresiba and Ozempic for over a year with great results.

Right now, Tresiba is on long-term back order and I need to consider alternatives.

1. What other alternatives would you recommend for an ultra long lasting insulin like Tresiba?

2. Do any of you use Xultophy? How do you like it? Looks like it has the same ingregients as Tresiba, but also seems to have additional similar composition like Ozempic. Maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  1. Thanks for reaching out. I hope others in our community share their experiences with you. I'd encourage you to speak with your doctor and diabetes medical team about their recommendations. In addition to speaking with your doctor, this is a great article on long-acting insulin options that may be helpful to you: https://type2diabetes.com/insulin/long-acting. Wishing you the best as you reasearch and decide your next steps. Kelly, Type2diabetes.com Community Moderator
