Very concerned

I’m a 56 year old man. I have sleep apnea and use the cpap. Getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom is nothing new to me. However- recently I’ve been getting up a lot more frequently and in shorter timeframe. Last night for example I got up 9 times within an hour timeframe. I even got up to get a sip of water and I knew rather shortly after that I was going to need to go to the bathroom again. I have some other symptoms as well, like itchiness in parts I’d rather not say. I also know that I do have an enlarged prostate. I am very nervous about this. I don’t have insurance right now so a formal diagnosis isn’t going to happen. It’s quite difficult to think about something like this because I don’t want it. I don’t have time to be bothered with this kind of thing. I can barely stand the idea of the c-crap at night. Any advice on how to, and if even proceeding in any way is something I should consider is welcome. Thank you for your time.

  1. , hi! Thank you for your question. That seems really frustrating and disruptive to your sleep to have to keep getting up so many times. I hope people can share if they have any similar experiences or insights since your situation is tricky and you aren't able to receive a formal diagnosis right now to see if it is diabetes or another health condition.

    1. Hi . It's been a long time since you posted this. I wanted to check in and see whether you ever got any answers. From your description, it sounds like you might have has a urinary tract infection. I am hoping that was the cause, not something more serious, and that it's been resolved. Are you still without insurance? Thinking of you and wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
