Whole-Wheat Banana Muffins
These whole-wheat banana muffins have fewer calories, carbs, and less fat than your traditional banana muffin!
Ingredients
- ¾ cup whole-wheat flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup applesauce, unsweetened
- 2 very ripe small bananas (~6 inches)
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
Makes 12 servings
Directions
- Lightly coat muffin tray with cooking spray
- Preheat oven 350 degrees F
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and cinnamon in bowl
- Mix in slightly beaten egg, applesauce and mashed bananas
- Stir in walnuts
- Scoop into muffin tin
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 23-25 minutes
- Enjoy!
