Tasty Tempeh Tacos
Temp-yay for tempeh! These tacos have all of the components to be an instant household favorite. Not only is this dish packed with protein, but these tacos are also filled with delicious flavors and satisfying textures. It’s a plant-based dish that even the most strong-minded meat-eaters won’t be able to resist! Plus, its slow-digesting ingredients also help maintain blood sugar control to keep you feeling your best. Let's go eat!

Ingredients for tasty tempeh tacos
Filling:
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp chipotle powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 pack of tempeh (8 ounces)
- 4 corn tortillas (4.5”)
Coleslaw
- 4 cups of shredded cabbage
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp non-fat plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp white vinegar
Directions for tasty tempeh tacos
- In a medium cast-iron skillet, add oil on to the pan and sauté the tempeh for 5-6 minutes.
- Add in the garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, chipotle powder, salt, sugar, and chopped cilantro. Cook another 7 minutes.
- While cooking mix together the cabbage, mayonnaise, yogurt, sugar, and white vinegar.
- Assemble adding the coleslaw, and tempeh into the tacos and enjoy.
