Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts are a member of the cabbage family and are actually rather high in protein. This is a great way to prepare them and imparts a delicious smokey flavor. Give it a try!


  • 5 cups Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Makes 5


  1. Preheat oven to 500’F.
  2. Slice Brussels sprouts in half lengthwise and spread out on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle lightly with olive oil, salt and pepper.
  4. Bake at 500’F for about 20 minutes, tossing once half way through until cooked through.
