Mixed Nut Tilapia

Tilapia is a mild flavored fish that can be prepared in a variety of ways. This dish is easy to prepare and requires just a few ingredients, making it perfect for the novice cook.

Serving size: 6 oz


  • 3/4 pound (12 oz.) Tilapia
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts (lightly salted), crushed
  • 2 tbsp coconut, shredded
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Brush baking dish with olive oil
  3. Brush fish with olive oil
  4. Sprinkle fish with salt
  5. Coat fish with crushed nut mixture
  6. Top fish with coconut and balsamic vinegar
  7. Bake fish at 350 degrees for 30 minutes

    I love tilapia. Can this also be done on the grill? Too hot to use oven at times here. 😉 So got to thinking about this on a grill instead. We use olive oil on the grill (George Foreman Outdoor/Indoor) all the time for whatever we’re going to grill. So thought would ask on this. Also any sub for the vinegar. I don’t get along with that at times for some reason. But it sure looks delicious.
