Black bean and vegetable soup

Black bean and vegetable soup

As winter has arrived it is time to make some soup.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup canned or precooked black beans
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Makes 1 serving

Directions

  1. Dice all of the vegetables and mix them together into a bowl.
  2. Rinse beans and add to the vegetables.
  3. Bring chicken broth to a boil and add the veggies and black beans.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
