Berries and Greens Smoothie
This delicious smoothie combines frozen berries and greens with creamy yogurt for a thick and tasty smoothie that is a good source of protein and high in vitamin C. A great way to sneak in some extra greens into your day.

- 1/2 cup frozen berries, such as blackberries, strawberries or raspberries
- 1/2 cup plain fat-free yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Chia meal
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves (or kale)
- 1/2 Unsweetened Almond Milk
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Note: Chia meal is made by grinding whole chia seeds in a food processor or grinder to form a powder that blends easily. Chia contains fiber, calcium, iron, healthy omega-3 fats and other beneficial nutrients and has been shown to help control blood sugar levels. The chia seeds or meal develop a gelatinous coating when mixed with fluids, which may help prevent blood sugar spikes.
