Asparagus With Bacon and Egg

Bacon and eggs are a great addition to this dinner side dish.

Makes 4 servings
Serving size: 2 asparagus spears
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for asparagus with bacon and egg

  • 16 asparagus spears
  • 1/2 egg
  • 1 1/2 bacon slices

Directions for asparagus with bacon and egg

  1. On a cutting board, remove the bottom half-inch of asparagus.
  2. In a saucepan, boil water, then hard boil an egg for 5 minutes.
  3. In a pan, fry up bacon until crispy, about 7 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, boil water, then blanch the asparagus for 3 minutes.
  5. Once the egg is hardboiled, dice half of it and save the rest.
  6. Break up cooked bacon into small pieces.
  7. Plate the cooked asparagus, then add the diced egg and bacon on top.
