Type 2 diabetes can result in people experiencing some complications, including vision problems such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and cataracts. According to the 2018 Type 2 Diabetes in America survey results, 28% of people with type 2 diabetes also experience vision-related complications. Vision problems can be overwhelming; they not only can negatively impact quality of life, but if not managed properly, can also result in vision loss.
